I am on north 11 mile service drive just east of hayes. I have it all taken part but know I dont know how to put the 89 clutch update kit in? I will pm you my cell if you want to stop buy. I fell like I am so close but not quite there. I also need a new gasket for the clutch cover I torn it taken it off. I just took out the clutch plates to inspect them and the bottom blate has the metal peices broken off of it. I guess that means I need new clutch plates also. I'm getting a sticker that says money pit for it when its done.

I have guests over tonight.
Take a pic of the tabs on the basket, if they look like this [VVVVVVV] get a new basket. The bottom of the V is where the plate has worn into the basket. You can file that flat but it gets sloppy and you can feel it. Get those pics up tonight
I'll post back if you need it. Otherwise get a clutch kit, gasket set, and gear saver. Start soaking the clutch plates (fibers) in GEAR SAVER. They need to soak for a while before installing them. Maybe I'll come by when you got all the parts togeather. Get some coolant and a glallon of distilled water too.

Sorry if I left ya hangin, couldnt log on this morning.
If you are going to be using the new basket you will need a grinder to grind off the rivets that hold the gear onto the basket.
I have one if you dont.
Start soaking those fiber plates in gear saver, they cant soak too long.
