electrical prob. on2001 350 rancher 4x4

Default electrical prob. on2001 350 rancher 4x4

starts,runs good about 10 min then just dies and in neutral when i rev it up the digital speedometer goes up and down with rpms it has to sit an hour then may start up again. any suggestions

the speed going up and down with the rev, has hit a memory of reading something on this site, i don't know what but i remember that when reving it up the speed changed it was a problem, do a search in all forums it might not be a honda i read about

The dieing motor may or may not be related to the speedometer problem.
Check the tank vent, and the carb vents for being plugged.
Disconnect the connectors that go to the ecm, and make sure all pins are clean and dry. Then lube them with dielectric grease, and reassemble. If that doesnt cure it, look for other connectors, like up by the speedo head. Make sure they are clean and dry.

might be a bad coil doing the stalling thing. i dont know about the speedo tho.
