I have a 05 TRX90 for my son. Since day one, if you stab the throttle it falls flat on its face. If you roll into it, it's fine. Dealer told me to check carb for debri so I did & found some aluminum around the pilot jet. Cleaned it, but it didn't change much. It will do it with air cleaner on or off. Was wondering if it is a lean condition rolling off of Idle. Could increasing the pilot jet help? Anybody have this experience?

 

I supose you found the plastic cap that is on the air intake, and removed it??? It is a limiter to keep the kids from going to fast. Silly, when it has a limiter on the throtle. Most of the time, the dealers remove them as a routine thing, so your's may be gone already.

 

That was the first thing to go. It really feels like its in the carb. I guess I could start playing with it. I was just hopping to find out with direction.

 

If it's still under warranty I'd have the dealer fix it. I bet it's rich. Pull the plug and look. If it's black, it's on the rich side.

 

Mine was doing this untill I adjusted the air mixture screw, then it was awsome from there on.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Thanks guys, its out of warrenty, so I"ll check that plug. Upside of the stubble off of Idle, it runs great, in any RPM range. Its just off of Idle.
