Default Rincon trans. problem

I have a major problem with my trans. When it get hot it quits pulling in D completly. I mean like it's in neutral. When you push the lever foreward the display shows (---), three dashed lines. It will pull fine in reverse. Ihave taken it to the local shop, those geniuses can't figure it out. Anyone else have this problem.

Default Rincon trans. problem

The gear position switch, on the rear engine cover ( sub transmission cover ), is eather bad, a wire is broken leading to it, or there is a bad connection within the gear position switch connector. Looking at the atv engine from the rear, it is located to the left side of the recoil starter. It is held to the engine with two bolts (10mm wrench or socket will remove them ). Note: the transmission must be in neutral to remove the switch, and when removed, notice the direction of the long side of the cross pin on the end of the switch for proper reinstallation. If replacing with a new switch, make sure an o-ring is installed around the switch.
Simple installation, I change them in about 10 minutes

Default Rincon trans. problem

I do not foresee it as a problem, we have sold a lot of Rincons since 03 and I have replaced 2 that have failed.
I have removed a lot of them when disassembling the sub-transmission to replace the final shifter and guide plates that have failed from being jamed in gear while revving and from shift improper cable adjustment.
After repair, codes should be checked, documented for future reference, then removed from the system.
