how do i remove the plastice on my 400ex? also what about the gas tank? i am going to install a twist throttle on my ATV and i need to know how to get that plastic off. i gather that i need to pop out those plastic pins but how and with out breaking them.

 

Go buy a set uf cheap metal regular old pliers.

Then use a bench grinder to grind the end into the proper shape to grip the center of the plugs.
They will pop right up and out.

 

Just use 2 medium/large bladed, flat screwdrivers. Put on under each end at the same time and wiggle them.
