Default 2001 honda recon

i have a 01 honda recon and just yesterday i was loading it in the back of a ford ranger and it stalled. it now stalls any time i try to load, unload, or go up any type of hill. i do alot of work myself and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the problem was. i want to ride saturday so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an '02 Recon that stalls when I unload it from my F150 sometimes. I just use it around the farm so I really don't know if it would stall on a sustained climb. It has never stalled while loading though. I will be interested to see what is causing your problem.

it sounds like a fuel problem. does fuel run from the overflow tube? try to get it on a hill and see if giving it gas helps to keep it from stalling.

i have taken the carb off and cleaned it, yes the fuel does come out the overflow. giving it gas does not help. you have to choke it to get it started when you get back to flat land. any other ideas?

its got to be a carb problem, theres no other reason for it to do this. if you have any experience with carbs, pull the carb off and check the jets and needle. make sure theres no dirt or grime in the carb bowl. also, check to see if ther fuel screw or idle screw havent been hit or moved fro there preset position. the owners manual will tell you where they should be. if none of this works, it may need a carb rebuild.
