Here's what I don't understand about your situation. You say yours were registered, so the vin# is on your state database. These quads are recovered VIN#'s intact. Why didn't the police trace the vin's and return them to you right away? Instead they sit around a week. Sounds like shoddy police work to me

that is exactly what the problem is....they ran them through once, whe they impounded them at 4a.m.!!
i couldn't report them stolen until i woke up at 7am to see that they were missing!!!
it's all the cops fault who wrote them the ticket.
I guess he was late for his donut break and decided to shat on finding the owner.
