This is very true, they make most of their money off of their mid-size ATV's and dirtbikes, and that is why they have been the leader in sales for years. I think the only hi-performance market they are seriously after is the 4-stroke dirtbikes. A lot of people don't understand that the average rider isn't looking for a behemoth of a quad.
Agreed M26, I think they have made more money selling 50's than anything else.

I disagree. Its just that the average consumer can't AFFORD the behemoth of a quad.

Thats nonsense. They can afford a 45K truck and a 50K-75K fifth wheeler. But they cant afford a 8K quad?

I have a $20K truck, no 5th wheel and a $4k quad. Yep, that's what I'm saying.

Most Americans don't mind debt, and financing is getting easier and easier.

Im the flip-side to that. I have been driving the same $4k-$5k truck since I was 16, and I have about $15k in toys.

I want newer vehicles that starts every morning. I've had autos that left me stranded on a regular basis and its no fun. Toys are just toys. Not going to spend an arm and a leg on just one machine.

I am developing MWQ's attitude that more is better. I wantquad number 3.

I dont sweat that much as long as the wifes car is reliable. Nothing worse than a call from the wife in the middle of the day at work. Saying she needs you to meet her at the store.

Thats why I buy used and do all my own work. Very few of my toys are "cherry" but all of them are big fun.

Its taken me 20 years to collect what Ive got right now. Im still bummed about selling the '74 QA 50.
