I am developing MWQ's attitude that more is better. I wantquad number 3.

Like MWQ, I don't worry to much as long as the old lady has something nice and reliable. I would really like to have a nice, extended cab, 4WD, but my old pick-up gets the job done just the same.
At my age, the way I look at it is, out of my group of friends some have really nice trucks with a alright toy, and some of us have alright trucks with nice toys. The ones of us with toys have more fun, are other friends are so **** about scratching their trucks that it ruins there time sometimes.

Im iffy about buying used "modern" day 4-strokes tho, they are expensive to rebuild. When I do buy new, I usually get a great deal on a left-over model.

Hey, my dealer wanted $5800 plus fees plus tax for a new 400ex. I paid $3999+tax for one that was 7-8 months old.
Still a lot of money for me though.

I respect what you guy's are saying... Everytime I think about looking at a new toy, I run away screaming due to the sticker shock! *YIKES*
I paid $3,200 for my 250R in Sept. of 1986, and felt I got raped... I can't even consider todays prices, especially since there's nothing available that blows my socks off..

Yeah ive seen new ATV's go for over $8,000. That is insane. Them bombadiar 800s man. I'd rather go out and buy a 18 year old 250r for half that price. I'm into the old school stuff. This new stuff is insane money wise.
