05 Rubicon and Warn Back up light mounting?
#2
I mounted mine under the rear storage box. Mounted the switch in the center (removeable) piece covering the handle bar bracket. Very clean. Have used the light alot and like it.

Thanks, "fishthesalt" - you do that at Oregon Inlet? We went striper fishing two weekends ago and between the three of us caught one 39 incher...no scale with us....~26-28 lbs...
Hey can you send me a pic (or 2 or 3) of your installation? I not real clear on it.....thanks

hey "fish"...We were on the catwalks and then moved to the beach just before the point.........figgers that they com in the week or so after we've been there. But we slayed them last year............two 28-30 ponders about 11:00pm and then two more ~30 and 25ish about 2:00 am. once we got them fileted it was close to 600 am and we crashed. (stayed at the Blue Herron)......as far as this year, I guess thats why they call it fishin and not catchin!
Thanks for goint to the trouble of sending me the pics. I look forward to them. Originally I had been thinking about an "L" bracket mounted flat on the rear rack with the vertical part of the "L" pointing up. This would have been attached against the rack tube and the bungee cord (?) bar that is about a foot long and is attached to the flat part of the rear rack. I was thinking this because I have a soft side "U" shaped bag that takes up the rack and need the clearence behind the light for the wires and such.......anyway I had some doubts about the method and briefly have considered mounting it to the bottom of the rear storage box; I agree I think it would look "cleaner" or more "factory".
I am curious about your mounting method for the light bracket on the rear storage box; short carrage bolts with fender washers to spread the stress on the plastic storage box?? I am also curious about "Mounted the switch in the center (removeable) piece covering the handle bar bracket. " I have an insturment cluster there if it is where I think you are refering to. That;s where I get confused.
Finally where did you route your switch wires?
Thanks, sorry to go on so long.
