Default Advice on swingarm pivot bolt 250x/300ex

Im trying to remove my swingarm from my 1991 250x. I have everything out now except the swingarm bolt. I have taken all the footbrake assembly off and now all I see on one side is the allen head of the bolt, the other side is threads. I put the nut back on the threaded side, used a piece of wood and a hammer and started to drive it out. So far it has come out about 3/4 of an inch but it seems not to be going easy. Am I dont this right?? Is there an easier way? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Corey

Finally got the thing out of there. From the looks of things, nobody had EVER taken it out before. I used a 300ex tie rod and an 8 lb sledge hammer to get it out. Took around 2 hours off and on.

Good that you got it out. They can need a torch, sometimes. Throw that one away and get anew one. All new bushings at the same time, also. Then smear grease all over it upon re-assembally. It also helps to pull it out once or twice a year and greasing it.
