Hello all just wondering if anyone can help me out...My starter is making a squeeling noise...It has never done this on a cold start only when riding for awhile stop for a break go to re-start and it makes an awful squeeling sound(not every time just once in awhile) but still rolls the engine over...Any idea's? The quad is an 05 500 Foreman about 1100miles the starter has never been hot from rolling over the quad always starts within 5sec. I still have 1 month left on my warrenty but if I take it to the dealer it probable wont make the noise and I'll look like a fool...What do I do??

Seeing how you have warentee left over, id call the dealer service manager, and just ask him over the phone, and find out how he wants to handle it. Intermitent problems can be hard to diagnose, but if you can get it to happen, on command , you could show them the noise. My guess would be a dry bearing or bushing in the starter motor.
Its really difficult to diagnose noise related problems over the internet.
