I have a 1987 formen 350, I just rebuilt the carb and it idles great, It will idle for hours and it is fine when I give it gas in nutural, when I put it into gear it putters out after about 100 yards, starts right back up again by kicking it then will stall if I try to ride it. I would appreciate any advice anyone may have.

well my guess would be that something is wrong with the fuel delivery. have you checked the fuel pump, fuel shutoff valve? seems to me like it runs out of fuel and thats when it sputters and dies. are you sure you put the carb together right? are you sure the jets are not plugged at all? the holes are very little and anything small will mess it all up. did it run good before you rebuilt the carburetor?
