i need to find a good rear tire for the mud. i ride in some pretty deep mud, but that is pretty watery and has a solid bottom. another trail has slop in it. would it be better to get an all purpose tire or to get a mud tire and just slap them on for the muddy trips. how are bandits in the mud? if i get a 400ex, i'll have to replace the tires soon anyway because they wear crazy fast. by the way, i really appreciate the polaris guys that come over here and offer good advice, not to bash the he*l out of you just because you have a honda.

I prefer the sport tires, like Holeshots, Razrs.. etc... But they don't do that well in the deep mud. Friends that I ride with swear by the McCreary Trailbrakers. They are big tall and sling mud with the best of em.

I use Shredders but am an avid fan of Mud Sharks for the slop and mud.Unless u want to have some wild fun throwing it around in the slop!!!!!

I have heard the Spidertracs are great tires. That is what I am going to use after the stockers wear out. Anyone else know anything about them??

I have Bandits, and although I love them for trail riding, I'm not sure they would be the best for mud. They can clog up pretty fast. Have you thought about Realters? You can turn them one direction for sand, and the other for mud and snow. The treads are also close enough that you can still ride them on the trails and they won't give you that bumpy paddle feeling.

I used Maxxis All-Trak's in a 22x11x10 size, just a little more ground clearance is nice. They wear well, and sling mud super good. Plus as an added bonus, they slide well in the loose stuff.
