Default Rancher Romping

This past week it was nice out so I went with a couple of buddies on their dirt bikes for some recreational riding. I had not had the chance to ride my Rancher in such a way and boy was it a blast! Jumps, hill climbing, thrashing through berms, riding it like I stole it. I mostly use it for plowing and work so it was quite fun to see what it could do. It doesn't take much of a jump to bottom out the suspension. I ran over a couple of large rocks at speed that I should have blown the tire as I heard it compress all the way to the rim. However, everything seems to be just fine. My rear rack luggage took the aggressive riding really hard, breaking several buckles, busting up stuff I was carrying, nearly rubbing through the fabric where heavy items were located. I think my next quad will be a sport quad as I'd like more airtime over jumps without jarring up the Rancher.

There were quite a few hills that my buddies on bikes were going up that looked too steep for me on the Rancher. How steep is too steep on a quad for ascending and descending?

I about scared myself several times.

Both buddies had mechanical issues with their bikes during the day whereas the Rancher just romped on...

chances are that rancher will go every were on hills those dirt bikes will.i go up alot of hills on my rancher that alot of people dont on dirt bikes(maybe due to ruts or rocks or mud if it is nasty enough) my quad has went every were i have taken it, sometimes it took a flip or roll to figure it out, main thing on steep hills keep as much as your weight over the handle bars as you can, throw up a hail mary, and shoot the juice.

maybe get a set of mud lites if you get into riding hills alot i got my set last weekend first hill i climbed i cruised up it were id spin with the stock tires. The stock tires are tough to kill tho i put 2000 miles on my back tires and they still hold air when i changed to the mud lites.
