recon going trough mud

a stock 250ex's exhaust wouldn't make a noticable difference, like I said honda did a handful of things along with the exhaust, and it all totaled out to 1.4 hp. You'd never be able to feel the difference of 1.4 hp, and the exhaust would only make about half a hp difference, if that.
Sure, if you take your racks off you would save about 20 lbs, but then your fenders would fall off. Most utility quads including the recon use the racks as fender mounting brackets.
Taking the lights off would make it look like a 50cc kid's quad, and would save you 3 pounds at the most, just leave em on.

Yeah,My freind Zak has a 97 recon and he took the rear rack off man his fenders bounce all over the place when he rides! Would there be any way to make the recon look a little bit sportier? Cuz I saw this 400ex with cut front fenders and it looked aswome but rhat is a sport quad

I don't know what you mean by make it follow the foreman, do you mean in off-road ability, or speed, or what?
I don't know much about winches, but i'd never put one on a quad, they add too much weight, and they draw a lot of current, possibly leaving you stuck with a dead battery.

The most you can really do to the recon is better tires, there's nothing you can do to make it compete with a 4x4 other than just becoming a better rider.
You could put wheel spacers on just the front, but it doesn't make much sense to me. If you're going to spend the money on wheel spacers then get all 4 and do it the right way.

that's probably going to be too much of a handful for you, I think you should stick with the recon for a while. I'm 21, 5'11", 185 lbs, and the big bore utility quads are just too big for me to toss around the corners like a lighter quad. To me they're just not nearly as fun as a sportier quad. My cousin has a suzuiki eiger 400 manual shift, and although it is still a 600 lb tank it feels lighter and more nimble than the big bores do.

what type of trails do you have?Is a foreman a big bore? Can you belive this is the last year for the banshee!Cant wait to see what yamaha does to replace it. Would you be able to beet a stock banshee?Would I be able to replace the rims on the recon with rims from a 250ex?
