Sunday while riding, i noticed a small noise in the front end of my rancher. so i decided to take it back to the shop to check things out. But before i got too far, i heard the worst noise again coming from the front end, and then the wheeler started to shake and i heard grinding. So i got off and looked at front end and to my disbelief the ENTIRE front differential case was cracked in half!! The bolts inside the differential worked themselves loose and pushed outwards causing the housing to crack in half! So today i took it into my dealer and even though i have been out of warranty for a while he said that honda still should cover it. dana67--i know you had a similar experience with an out of warranty problem--who did you have to deal with to get this resolved? has anyone else had this problem or seen this happen?
