shift problems with the 400ex

Default shift problems with the 400ex

hey i got a problem ... 01 400ex here, i like to do wheelies and lots of them...down the road 5th gear pinned anywayz last week i pulled it up and was going thro the gears and it wouldnt go into 5th? as soon a i brought it back down it went right in.. and today it happend i think twice, with 4th once and 5th? i have been riding full out road wheelies for a long time with it, almost had it a year but first time its ever happened... my oil is a little dirty havent changed it yet this year, not sure if that matters?? i need some help! lol

Default shift problems with the 400ex

ok so i was playin around today and got in in 5th 2 or 3 times with no problem.... it doesnt happen all the time, but does anyone have some ideas?

Default shift problems with the 400ex

the shift forks or the shift paw is not ingaging the gears completly. the force of them spinning keeps them apart. The shift drum could be worn to.
