I realize from the numerous posts about the subject that TCS shocks are simply the best...if you have $700 to spend! Its a sure thing that I will buy Works shocks because of their affordability, and besides, I can get them converted to ZPS later when I have the cash. But for now I would like to know which model of Works shocks to buy. I am really looking for a model that will soak up any landing...I never want to bottom out again! Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Get Works Stadium Series Shocks. They are ZPS, they are the shocks that PEP ZPS were improved from.

Works stadiums are also like $600-700. Get the trpiles with reservoirs for $500 and get them set up for your weight and riding style. If you are concerned about bottoming, tell them you are a recreational mxr.

you can save alot of confusion and money by simply calling the pro's at the Shoc Connection and telling them your needs. If you don't race, there's no need for rezzies...the shocks will never heat up enough to fail. "Steelers" are right up your alley. They reccomend tripple rate springs for the 400ex. They build and ship em the same or next day and are great to deal with.

Thanx everyone for your help, checked out the site and it was also very helpful. I'm still confused on one question, Are the Rezzy's necessary. It never really addressed what riding styles require that extra component. I do intend to periodically race on a mx track, but it said recomended for hard core racing? What do they mean by that? Is it worth the risk to race those types of shocks without Rezzy's? I think i'm going to end up buying dual rates with Rezzy's, I would hate to ruin those shocks!
