Default DG Full body Skid Plate Help

I just bought a DG skid plate for my 06 450r and the oil drain hole does not line up. also, how does everyone change their gear oil? or do you have to take the skid plate off each time? i also had to grind one of the mounting tabs a little bit for it to fit around the frame cross brace. anyone else had any other problems with the skid plate? thanks in advance

Default DG Full body Skid Plate Help

First off, call DG and discuss your problems! I have found them to be extremely helpfull in the past. No doubt, they gave you a skid for an 04-05, so the hole position is different.

I have skids on all my machines, and I just resign myself to the fact that I will have to take the skids off for changing oil. Even if the hole lines up perfectly, some will drip around it and make a huge mess. Best to pull the skid before you start, rather than having to pull it afterward to clean it.
