My rear brake is seized in that if I apply it, it sticks on, otherwise the wheel rotates fine if I don't use it. I went to take it apart for repair but I could not get the hub off. I loosened the cable completely,, but still no luck. Should I put my three arm puller on it? I was worried about tearing the whole assembly off. Any thoughts?

well i havent had one of those apart, but i would be careful using a puller on it because you could warp the hub and the wheel will wobble. I would buy a manual and make sure you are taking it apart correctly first.

Thanks quicksilver, the manual says to 'slide it off'. I figured if I had this problem perhaps someone else will have and have a tip. I will just have to go really slowly with the puller I guess.

you would think, I used my impact gun to take the nut off, it is the hub that won't slide over the brake shoes. It's pissing me off! I will have to use my puller and try to ease it off without tearing the brakes off.

DO NOT USE A PULLER!!!

Mine is a 99.There is a lock ring that is made from small round stock. It goes around just on the inside edge of the drum.
