well i got my 400ex a few days ago right and i though i got a great deal on it but then it started makeing a funny npoise and a day later it was fouling plugs like it was its job so i brought it to the shop and had it cheaked over and it turns out the cranck case seals were all shot and it was running teribly rich and the guy that gave it to me said it was in perfect condition i mean what kind of person rips off a 16 year old kid but i called the guy up and he agreed to give me my money back so today im going to look at a polaris preditor anfd hopefuly wotn get riped off agien

 

If you got your money back you didnt get ripped off.

 

Well this is my thoughts on the subject.

The guy did not rip you off or even try to rip you off. If he wanted to rip you off, all he had to do is sell you a quad with a little piece of paper that says "AS IS." If he wanted to rip you off he would have told you to go fornicate yourself when you asked for your money back. He did neither. He could have done both. You got lucky.

Why on earth would a 16 year old that knows nothing about engines buy a quad without having someone check it out?

That would be like me going out and buying a musical instrument.

Bottom line. If you don't know what your doing, take someone that does. The next guy might not be so nice.
