Some people here have been talking of super and turbo chargers on quads, how about nitrous? Any one thought of it or tried it?

 

The only thing that i have against nitros is that you have to buy the canasters and you need to keep paying for new ones, with a turbo or supercharge (something that runs off the engine) the power is essentialy free and it costs you nothing to use it.

 

nitrous is much cheaper to use! although you have to get your bottle refilled the initial purchase is much cheaper. Nitrous $500.00 kit

I had it on my old ACT110 and 125M, the kit was only $105 without the bottle.. super easy to put on and easily 4X the power as the ATC110 broke them loose on pavement. I bought it from a ad in a 1991 issue of dirtbike magazine as they put the same kit and tested it on a CT110 trail bike.

 

i've been toying with the idea of buying a nitrous kit for my quad to surprisesome of the guys i ride with when i race em. what do u guys think? also whats gonna happen when i turn it on. is the front end gonna lift up even if i'm in like in 3rd gear? when do i turn it on? how much speed and acceleration am i gonna gain from it?

 

only use NOS under full throttle and never overrev your engeine with it. It feels like the powerband on a 80cc motocrosser
