my 2001 foreman will stay stuck in 5th gear and wont shift out, turn off the key for a minute and it will reset itself but once shifted into gear it will not downshift, my speedo is not working also this ll started the sametime.
Any help would be appreciated

 

Im assuming its an ES?
Check the voltage at the battery, if its ok, check the connections for corrosion.

 

Hello buckets.....wondering if the voltage was the problem ? have the same problem out here....it well remain stuck in one gear till restarted....
