They are a good choice if you want to keep the quad as LIGHT AS POSSIBLE! They have full chassis, but not swingarm. They extend out enough, to protect the frame rails as well as the engine.
Don't laugh because they are made of PLASTIC, because they are plenty strong. (They make guns out of plastic, you know!) One plus, is that they tend to be slippery and slide off of rock, where aluminum gauls and hangs you up.
We have them on the Rancher, and the kids quads.

Never had one crack, and believe me, these machines get abused by kids that aren't that carefull!
I think they do make a-arm skids, but no swingarm. Check their website.........
