Stupid question of the year (Rancher reverse)
#1
How the heck do you put a 2000 Honda Rancher in reverse?
I clicked down past 1st into N and past but there is no engagement. I hope there is another step to the procedure.
Am I supposed to be pushing something while I click past Neutral?

actually, you arent the first person to ask this question. It would make more sense to just let the ES shift when the machine wheel speed reads zero, and the rpm is less than 2000 RPM, Instead of making us jump through hoops and pushing buttons and pulling levers just to put it into reverse. I spend more time putting it into reverse than actually moving.

Thanks all,
I was trying everything, I even pushed the button and pulled the brake but I never did both at the same time.
It's not the worst reverse procedure I've ever seen but It is tricky if you don't know it. Glad I'm not the first to not figure it out myself.....
