Just got a new rancher with a ?

Just thought I stop in the Honda forum and get accuainted I just traded in my problematic Suzuki for a 06 red rancher and I must say I love it. It has plenty of power for me and it is nice and big. The only complaint is the fuel sender for the fuel display rattles but most do, and my dealer put to much oil in it I think.
The level is between the middle and upper line and i think its supposed to to be between the lower and middle line, if anyone knows please let me know.

to check the oil, do this:
take the machine out and ride it for about 15-20 minutes. no need to beat on it, just normal riding is fine, enough to ge the engine to normal operating temp.
shut it off and wait about 2-3 minutes. unscrew the dipstick, wipe it off, and slide it back into the hole without screwing it in. pull the stick back out, the oil should be between the 2 marks. a little over is fine, that's the way mine is too and i dont worry about it. there should be 2 marks, on the flat part at the end of the stick
It is very important that you run the machine before checking the oil, the pump has to fill the integral oil tank up and purge the air out, and what you are measuring is the oil level left in the crank case after the tank is full. The oil will slowly drip back out of the integral tank if the machine is not started for several days, and if you check it after a long time you'll most likely get an 'overfull' reading because all the oil is in the crank case and not in the integral tank.

Thanks yes I checked it after a couple hours of sitting, even so I dont think it way full I just leave it be since I have 3 yrs warranty, but it just sounds like I just let it sit to long.
