Default most valuable upgrades for a honda trx 250ex sporttraxx

I have a Honda TRX 250ex. I need a little more power to get my adrenalin pumping.
Anybody know the best parts for this particular model? (Exhaust, carb, jet kit, simple tweaks to make it run stronger?)

You can get arguments all day on which is the best pipe, every one likes or hates what they have, and have little experience with any other system. If you really need to get some power out of her though, go ahead and install a pipe, modify the intake, and rejet. After that, I would change out at least the rear tires for something light and with a lower profile. This will help raise your cornering speeds a bit, but may change your overall gearing some. You could use this opportunity to get better acceleration or a higher top speed though. I would wait until you ride it with the other mods, then decide if you want to change tire size.

TIRES are the best performance upgrade you can do! I am running the new ITP Trac Star radials, and it's a whole different machine.........

Your not going to get much improvement or HP unless you do all three. More air in, more gas , more air out. I added vents to the air box and added a UNI filter, changed the main jet to a 112 and a 42 pilot jet. Then added a white brothers slip on exhaust. Makes a lot of difference but it will never hang with my 450R.

the best thing i would say was what this guy said in the thread this will help a bunch if you are not willing to do that much i would say k and n filter and exhaust (with jetting) and get rid of those stock balloon tires

this thread has tips on making a 250ex faster

so. funny story. My brother spent 100 bucks on 20" holeshots for his 250 and now it's really slow. Make sure to buy 22" tires, but with a better tread pattern-or you'll be stuck with a slow bike. This is assuming you don't want to completely rebuild your rear end with new higher ratio gears that I'm pretty sure don't exist anyway. ...Or you could get a 300 and simply slap on another sprocket instead of... nevermind.

The little 250 has limited suspension, so going to fast just make it more miserable! With 20" tires, sure you give up high end speed, but you gain lowered effective grearing so you get more low end torque (like for hill climbing).
