Depends on the course... There was a lot of attrition at my last race because of the mud...
Entry fees for Amateur classes usually stay around $20, more for expert and pro classes.
You can see pictures at www.hillbillygp.com. These are all dirbike pics, hopefully we'll have ATV pics up for the next race... Go to the results section for the link to the pictures.

The run up near plymouth (actually it is plymouth not culver, about 10 minutes away) will cost you more than 20 bucks for you first race. It will cost you 30 bucks to sign up for ama, andther 25 to joing district whatever they are (forgot) and then 20 for the race. Thats $75. But after the first one it is relatively cheap, just 20 per race. Also, up in plymouth, dont count on 65 quads showing up, their lucky if they get 15. And you don't see a whole lot of utilities, just mojaves, 300 and 400exes. Im sure they would love to have you though.

Associations like this need to seriously evaluate their actual need for their membership dues, as the $75 first time entry fee is a serious deterrant to the first time rider or casual racer that doesn't know if they are even going to attend another event...
If they want to increase thier series rider attendance, they would be wise to make it as easy and user friendly as possible for new riders.
Our series in Missouri typically has no less than 100 quads per race in 8 classes, they charge no membership fees, and only 1 or 2 races require AMA membership (one is a national level race). A new rider can be in and racing for a $5 parking fee and a $20 entry fee... New racers will also typically bring friends, but it's sometime hard to convince a friend to come if he has to shell out $75....
