Default 400ex stock exhaust

My 400ex came with a DG pipe but it did not come with the stock exhaust pipe. I'm going to have to get a stock exhaust pipe because it's too loud. I'm wondering what I have to replace and how much would it cost? Do I have to change the entire exhaust system right from the engine block or just the muffler area?

Depends...if the DG is a SLIP ON then all you need to repalce is the muffler. but if the DG is the COMPLEAT system (MUFFLER-HEADER PIPE) then you will need to repalce the entire thing.

How can I tell if it's a slip on or full system?

The DG muffler is what's making it loud, not the head pipe.
Try repacking the muffler, but a DG is pretty loud.

If you want it quiet, go ahead and get this one. It is the stock heads and pipe. This will quiet it down quite a bit, DG exhausts DO run loud. Like Red400EXRod said.
