Default what you think? 400ex problem

Ok well hes a not soo quick story, I have a 01 400ex bored to 440 typical upgrades (cam, piston, etc.,done by previous owner) driving with a passenger one day and it locks right up and dies and i had to quickly put the clutch in b4 i lost total control. but anyway it wont run now, when i try starting it ,it sound alot like its not turning the crank or moving the piston just a fast whining or spinning noise, i put it in 1st and tried starting it (not push start) to test the starter and it is fine it will propel the thing forward, so what you think b4 i pull it all apart ? Crankshaft, rod, or cam could be broken? let me know if anythin similar ever happened. Thanks

if you have a broken timing chain check the valves and make sure they aren't bent. If they are bent, might have to get new valves and a valve job done on the head, also make sure the valve guides are ok in the process. good luck.
