TRX 450R REV BOX
#2
I borrowed a buddies Big Gun rev box for a trip to the dunes. I'm not sure what difference it made in performance because it was also my first ride with my 480 kit and ported and polished head.
It did , however, make it a little harder to start. If you loaded it up or stalled it while starting, then it was a real pain to start. Kind of like when it's flooded.
I have switched back to my stock rev box and it starts easily.

Really though, if you don't have a high rev cam and porting to match, the engine doesn't make power on the over rev. The stock cam and head sign off good power long before 7,000 rpms.

yep thats correct tractor on a stock engine you won't see any difference in power gains it will only make a real noticable difference when you start to upgrade the engine just whatever you do don't get a procom I haven't heard many good things about them...The vortex is a good cdi but you will be paying alot more then you would for a big gun...I wouldn't go getting it until you get mods done.

hey blaster how does the 450r respond to the hmf(good power gains) I was either going to go with the lrd,hmf ironman series,or the white bro's carbon pro but still deciding.
