can anybody tell me where the brake light switch is on a 2004 recon 250?

 

Not intimately familiar with the 04 Recon, but it should be similar to the 250EX. Look for a wire attached to the back of the brake pedal that gets pulled when the brake is pushed. It pulls on a spring loaded switch.

If it is not working, they often get out of adjustment and need some fine tuning, especially if you have moved your pedal postition.

There is also going to be one on the brake hand leavers.
