What kind of handle bar?
#1
I have stock handle bars on my 02 300ex and my husband says I should get new ones. Im not sure if I really want to or not. Can anyone tell me any reasons why I should and if so what brand do you recommend?

Well if there isn't anything wrong with the ones that you have now then I don't see any reason to replace them. The only thing I could think of is if you wanted ones that sit higher, thats what I did when I had my 300 so it would be more comfortable when I stood up but if you are not tall then don't worry about it

like thunder said, no reason to replace unless bent or uncomfortable. if you decide to replace, i like my pro tapers. renthal and pro taper are the best in my book, just see what bend fits you best, and cut if too wide

I dont see a problem with the ones I have. Im only 5'6. But my husband says they would feel a little better. Just thought I might ask someone that rides quads. He wouldnt know since he doesnt ride em. He rides a bike so its different. Thanks for the info. When I do decide to change maybe I'll go for the pro taper

It really depends on your comfort and style of riding. If you like jumping and ride aggresively I would recommend getting a higher, more aggressive bend handlebar and some bar risers to put the bars in a better position, but that all depends on what feels comfortable. When riding, the best postion for your arms should emulate a push up position in front of you with your wrists and hands right about the height of your elbows. But again, if that isn't what feels the most comfortable for you then don't do it.

If you like riding out of the saddle then I would really recommend getting bar risers and a more aggressive bend. That will make you be able to stand straight up on the pegs and not have to be bent over your bars too much so that your weight is off balance. I run with Renthal bars and a trailtech 2 inch bar riser on my 450R. I'll try and get some pictures up soon so that you can see the difference of where the bars sit.
