Default Electric shift problem

I have a 2006 Honda Rancher 350 shifting problem. It blinks twice which I know is a shifting switch problem. I don't know how to disassemble the control to check the connections. Can anyone help me

Different bike have different codes, you never said what your quad was? First thing I would recommend to you is by a manual!!! it will tell you all the codes and step by step procedures on how to trouble shoot them. It will be the best 40 Smackers you ever spend

I'm having the same code flash on mine also. I took the shifter control apart (remove the brake perch assembly, then 3 phillips head screws on the rear of the shifter control), and all the connections looked good. Guess I'll have to load it up and take it to the dealer.
