Given your Username and your "guess" for the prices being figured down to the cent, you obviously are more in touch with this TRX than the average bird on this forum. Your question looks like it should be directed to Barry Hawk (no relation) himself.

I'm not trying to sound like a smart-***, but what is your motive? Are you trying to decide whether to buy one of his bikes before or after he races it? And if your that serious about it and can spend $20,000 plus for it then the extra $3,000 surely won't keep you from buying gas for it...will it?

My motive,is trying to find the least expensive and most dependable way to get the ex to the 52hp level.Having had a 86R moded to that level of performance with modest cost.It's hard to impressed with 27hp Honda even though it is new.And the cost of getting to that level these days is becoming stagering.
Lets see;
$5499 stock ex
$460 wheels tires.
$3200 full motor mods+ custom exaust.
$599 taxes tags encumbrence fee.
$149 insurance (at least thats cheap).

Yes speed is not cheap.And yes I am courius how much the Hawkster's Quad costs.
Oh I forgot extra large gas tank $179 (for a big piece of plastic!!).Shocks, god I don't want to know$$.
