The new Rancher does look to have power steering and I'll have to recheck but I would think they would still call it a 400 for what that's worth.

Anyone seen a weight on the new Rancher???? I was hopeing they would lighten it up some, and sporty it up some to make it competitive with the Wolverine (which is no lightweight anyway).

I think it's a safe bet that you're going to be disappointed about the weight. With the added cc, radiator, 2wd/4wd, etc. - I would not be surprised if it picked up 30lbs or more.

That's what I'm thinking. Price will have to go up too!
Looks like if you want a cheap entry level ute, it will have to be the Recon.

at the same time, with almost a 90cc boost, EFI, and the manual S/ES transmission, that extra weight combined with the extra power probably evens itself out, if not for the better...

The video is fixed now. The only thing it showed was the 2wd/4wd shift lever on the left side of the gas tank.
OK, here's what we know:
They only specifically mentioned 3 ATVs - the Rancher FM (4x4 manual shift), Rancher FE (4x4 electric shift), Foreman ES.
Rancher 4x4 and 4x4ES:
420cc Engine
Liquid Cooled
Fuel Injected
Tank Mounted TraxLock
Slightly modified plastics
Foreman 4x4ES:
Electric Power Steering
Silver (matches bumper) nose cover
What we don't know:
Is the Rancher AT gone?
Is the Rancher 350 gone? (I think so)
Is there a Rancher 4x2?
Why did they specifiy the Foreman ES when introducing the EPS?
Will all 2007 Foreman's have EPS? Will the Rubicon?

so no IRS other than then Rincon? bad move on hondas part i think. yamaha went with it on the big bear and kodiak line witch is now grizzly so they do have a manual shift IRS 400 cc quad. maybe worth looking into..
i sure wish honda would have put IRS on something other than the rincon. ... bummer.....
