If the rings needed replacement due to lack of oil, i would make sure the cylinder wall and or piston didnt get scorched.

 

That's way to much money for a machine that has had problems. Absolutely do pass this one up!

 

you can find a better one, trust me, just have patience and when somebody needs money it will be really cheap

 

If you are going to buy this one or another, just remember to look it over really good and check to see that everything is sound. I got shafted with my last quad because i didnt look it over well and there were alot of hidden (Majore) problems that cost me big bucks.

 

This is a good bike. i have drove it lots and works good. the guy that owned it took good care of it. if i was looking for a 250 i would have this one but i want a 400. I think this one would be a good bike for your son.
