Default Dielectric Grease?

Somehow I got water in one of the many electrical connections over the weekend on my Honda Rancher AT. I get the blinking error code 5 and 9 so I know it has something to do with the ECM, angle sensor, and/or the mode select switch system.

What I'm planning to do is put some dielectric grease on the connectors that deal with these individual sections.

What I'm needing some advice on the following....

How much grease to put in the connectors?
Do I pack it full to where it's squeezing out?......Do I just put it on the rubber seal?
Is it O.K. to completely cover the metal connectors since dielectric grease prevents conduction?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Default Dielectric Grease?

i just went dielectric grease happy on my quad.i did every connection or contact i could find .i overkilled it i put thicker amounts on .i guess the only thing bad about that is dirt might adhere to the excess grease.but water will have no chance of contact.i bought dielectric grease in a can comes with a nozzle kind of like the nozzle you see on spray foam insulation or like a calking type worked pretty good.good luck
