I'm a proud owner of a new 400ex. I've recently put some mods on the machine to tweak the performance. (This machine rocks!)My dilema is a set of rear tires for it. I do a lot of cross country riding and in search of a mud tire. i have been looking at the Blackwaters, Mud sharks, or the Surtracks. Anybody with any riding experience on any of these tires would help a great deal.

thanks

Brett

My friend had the 22" rears on his Warrior. They are a good tire for all round use and great for loose pack, including sand/snow. Mud never seemed a problem and the tires cleaned themselves off well. They aren't a very comfortable ride like the Holeshots, but they shine on really rough terrain (rocks, logs, river crossings). Yes they are a heavy tire, but the durability is worth it.
I am considering getting the 20" versions just for that kind of riding.

Brett, look under "drivetrain, suspension and tires"...there's a good post just for the 400ex rears.
