i was wondering when this recall was. because i have not heard about it from my dealer or even what it was about. is there anyone out there that could let me know what the recall was about on the rancher and if it was the 00 or the 01 rancher that was recalled?

 

i got my notice about 2 months ago. There is a slight chance your a-arms could break because of an imporoper weld. Call your dealer and make an appt. it shouldn't take much more than a half hour to fix. hope this helps.

 

go to hondas web site, look under"press, serial numbers are listed in the recall.Honda is sendng out recall notices in "batches" when you get your recall notice, "if your serial number falls in that range} If you call the number listed on hondas web site, they will tell you when your area is supposed to recieve the parts and send out recall notices to affected owners.for example kansas city mo is batch #8, recalls go out in late dec 2000.The recall repair consists of brackets bolted to existing bolt holes, no welding involved takes less than 30 minutes to install. hope this helps, grampa jones
