Default Fuel injected 2007 Rancher good or bad?

What's the general opinion on a fuel injected system compared to a carb? I think I would prefer carb myself for nothing else but simplicity. I plan on getting a '07 rancher when they sre released but the fuel injection is something that I'm not thrilled about. What are your thoughts?

I hope FI will be the future for most quads, or at least the ones I hope to buy.

No having to change jets for altitude changes. Better throttle response. Improved power and milage. Works better on steep hills where a carb with a float might be a problem.

But they add expense and complexity. Needs a fuel pump for constant pressure. Some will need a computer which will be another water hating component.

I rode with a person with a SP500EFI and I could not tell the diff? Maybe for people who live in the mountains, maybe.

Also, and this goes for seasonal riders, no more cleaning the carb after you forgot to drain the float bowl before letting the quad sit all winter. See it all the time, especially on bikes.

Don't forget about the ability to custom map your fuel distribution. EFI is the future and a very nice one IMO I wish I had it!

I am willing to take my chances with EFI (as long as there is somebody along to tow me back home!). My buddy has the Raptor 700, and it has been fine so far after about 6 months.

The pic on the really large stump is Capital Forest here in Washington state near Olympia There is about 5 differant capsites and entrances that all intersect into a maze of trails said to be over 100 miles. The other is Evans Creek at the base of Mount Rainer here in washington. I am from Colorado and some of the areas up here still impress me

Cool! I might have to make that Capitol forest trip my first one for next spring. Looks like lots of good riding.

Trails open on April 1st I am sure I will be there. They usually start the season out with a poker run but I haven't heard anything about it yet.
