I was just wondering if a Rubicon will fit in the back of an Ford Explorer Sport-trac? Just checking for a buddy.

 

I highly doubt it, but never tried either. I have a 4x6 trailer that won't hold a KFX700 much less a ute due to the rear ramp. It has maybe an actual 5 1/2' to work with. Pretty sure the Sport Trac bed is much shorter than that. There are bed extenders that might make it feasible though. I'm not talking about the aluminum gate that goes on with the tailgate down, but rather the type that fits into the hitch receiver.

 

I knew he'd have to leave the tailgate down but I thought it might fit like that. Is it too narrow?

 

You can put down the tailgate and get a Louisiana Guard Dog!!

i put the over grown polaris in the back of my sport-trac .

i took out that aluminum bed extender thing. set the ramps on the tail gate. i then ramed it in there,the bed is so narrow you realy have to gas it to get it over the wheel hump's you then have to jam on the brakes to keep it from slamming into the back window and braking it. the whole time also i was woried about it spiting out the ramps out the back while i was goosing it to jam it in.

i will never do it again. i only did it because my girl friend wanted to see if it could be done.i baught her the spot-trac and the polaris ,she had to make a few smart coments about loading up the bike and haulin @$$ with both of them."GO FIGURE"

 

Put it in 4WD and go slow!!! As for the ramp's, strap them down underneath your bumper. They will hold for sure!!! For the back window put a towel between the bed and cab. Everything will be ok!!!
