The bar end srews, all the screws on the mud guards at the foot pegs, all the body plastic screws and support hardware. Nothing integral to the motor or suspention has vibrated lose, but all of the nick nacks seem to want to fall off if you don't locktight 'em.

400exman, I've had mine for about two weeks now and love it to death. TRXtr is right on the locktite, everything seems to loosen quickly. Any screw that doesn't have the yellow paint on it from the factory, locktite it!

Many guys complain about the tires but I really like them...the bike really hooks up in all gears with little wheelspin. Just watch out for the rocks...don't take much to konk the rims. I'm running 4lbs and am happy.

Beware the hidden power...I got slingshotted at the top of a hillclimb. Besides two new rims, she took a good beating all the way down and was ready for more! What a machine, enjoy and ride safe.

buy locktite blue my friend.......i've had my 2000 for about 3 weeks and i've lost and replaced three screws for the plastic...and honda does not sell them cheap.....the three that i lost cost a grand total of about $12.00 so i bought some locktite and put it on all my screws holding my plastic on....so far no lost ones....i highly recomend it...

I have had my Y2K400EX since the 22nd of July. Ditto on all the loose components you spoke off. I also found the piece that the seat front catches on loose and also loctited that. HAs anyone noticed the coloring of the header pipes as they come out of the head? Mine are a shade off purple sort of. The dealer said this is Ok so if its lean it will be their fault not mine. The clutch was like an on off switch when new but has broken in real nice. I have read of a jetting change in DW magazine. Has anyone done this and does it help? Also what are the stock jet sizes as I dont have a manual yet

Ha! He wouldn't have any power or suspension either! :-)
Yes, Locktite is a good thing.
My header was colored blue at first, now it is a nice baked on mud color.
