Last time I checked, snomobiles can't plow snow, and don't work so good on pavement, gravel, rocks, creeks, mud, don't pop wheelies, don't powerslide, etc... You cant ride them all year round unless u live in siberia. Quads and Trikes do awesome in the snow. I've got about 9" now, and it's about 5degrees F. My three and four are a blast in the snow, and unless the snow is 2-3 foot deep, they will go top speed.

I personally wouldn't want a snowmobile because we dont get alot of snow here with the exception of this year(lol). But snowmobiles can do wheelies eaten...a guy I know does wheelies off the start with his '96 Polaris Indy 500(which he brags about). But I know ATVs are alot more fun for wheelies.
I was out riding in a foot of snow we got and it it usless with 2wd...maybe I should buy tire chains.

yeah i've ridden in the snow...however it wasn't on anything of mine (well cept for my piece of crap snowmobile that got stuck and broken). it was my friends yamaha tri-moto 125. that thing sucks he has big mud tires on it but it got stuck in even the smallest amount of real now. but what we'd do is ride down the street really fast then spin out. 720 was our best spin. yesterday he hit some dry patches and rolled it. it happened to times and it was less than 10 minutes in between. the first time he broke the housing around his light. second time he put a huge crack in his helmet and was really dazed. luckly i never even got close to flippin. he hurts himself on that hting all the time. i'm either really lucky or i'm just a lot better rider. he thinks hes way better than me but hes dumb i am a better rider...i'm lucky too though. anyways it was still fun

ATv man, yes, snomobiles do that thing where they lift the front end off the ground (I've seen a few snow-crosses). Riding in snow really depends on what tires you have. Of course you will be going nowhere with bald tires, or tires that easily get snowlogged. My Bandits work really well though; the lugz are just right. There is a cool little pit about 15 feet around, and 4 feet deep that is a miniature ice rink. Once you start spinning in there, you bounce around like a pinball! Try that on a snowmobile. That is also the ultimate mud pit in the summer when it get's filled to the brim after rain.
