Just bought a used 2001 TRX350FE fourtrax with electronic shifting, and only 6000km. Sometimes on startup the pressing the shift buttons does nothing, no clicking sound or anything, then suddenly the ES will start to work right. Also had the bike get stuck in 2nd gear and 3rd gear, tried to use the shift buttons and heard the shifting sound but shifting did not happen. Had to stop and use the manual shift to get it out. Seems that once I've ridden the bike for 10 minutes the problem seems to go away. Any idea why this intermittent problem happens? Does rocking the bike from side to side or pulling it back and forth sometimes make the problem go away?
