Glad to hear that you got it fixed, sorry it took you so long to have it done thought, Did you finance it? If so contact Honda Finance and see if they can postpone a payment since you just now recieved the quad and its been in the shop so long.
Cant hurt to ask.

Glad you got it taken care of, but don't blame Honda, blame the dealer. The dealership is owned by an individual, not Honda. But if they get enough complaints, they won't sell Honda for long.

 

Just got my new 06 rancher today. I ,like you, drove to chatanooga to get a better deal. When I got home I couldn't get it to idle. I to tried the idle adjustmet with no luck. I called the dealer and the service dept. told me that honda loads these things up with some kind of preservitive to help while they are stored. He said that the problem should clear up with running a couple of tanks through. If this doesn't work, take it to a dealer. I also called my local dealer to check up on the other and he said the same thing. He said this was very common in the recons and other carburated models. I also have a Yamaha that I got in 03. Never had any problems. Purred like a kitten since the day I brought it home. I work for a honda plant that makes autos and I've got to say, I,m a little dissapointed.

 

forgot to ask. Did they say what the original problem was?
