I told my friend that the 400ex has a Choke and he said that the 2001 400ex does not have a choke and that you can't ride the 400 in cold weather and I know that the 400ex has a choke and I want you all to answer so that I can tell him to go to this site and see for himself. Thank you all,Matt

 

The 400EX has a choke. It should be a yellow lever that comes off the carb on the left side of the quad. It should be under the fuel shutoff valve.

 

Yep...as mentioned above....yellow lever kind of hidden under the plastic...left side of quad as your are sitting on it. You can't see it from sitting...you have to learn to find it with your hand...or lean way over to see it.

My 400 ex likes cold weather...just let it warm up for a few minutes.
Runs like a top.
