Default '07 Rancher Price

I got a quote from a local Honda dealer for a new '07 Rancher 2x4 OTD for $4175 or $4375 for the ES model. MSRPs are $4499 and $4699 respectively. I've been advised to jump on any deal that's less than the MSRP for an OTD price. Sound good?

Thanks

It's hard to negotiate under msrp on a brand new model. Especially towards the west coast. It seems better deals are to be had out east.

I say go for it. I paid just $50 under msrp OTD for my Rancher and dont regret it for a second. Or you could get a 06' Rancher 4x4 for about that same price.

They're saying about $4500 for the '06 4x4 ES. I'm looking at '07s for all the improvements they made over the '06. I'm going there tomorrow and if this is really the price I'll probably bring one home. I'm leaning toward the ES as I really want the instrumentation.

2wd utes are in kind of a precarious place. They aren't 4wd so they are lighter and more sporty. Yet even so, they can't match the performance of a sport quad, and neither do they have 4wd when you need that.

The 2wd Rancher is a very capable machine and has a fairly sporty ride.....and the 420 should be even better. The 2wd will serve you very well in the arid southwest even in some fairly extreme terrain, but when you get into snow or mud or really big rocks you are going to wish you had gotten the 4wd. On the other hand, in the open desert it won't be able to match the comfort and superb performance of a sport quad either.

You mentioned in another post that you were going to get a quad for your kid......is this it???? The 250EX is a superb choice at a good price for an older kid. It is every bit as capable as the 2wd Rancher, and only weights 350 pounds!
