I ran into the same problem your having. My bike has less than a 100 hrs on it, and I did have the bike serviced as recommended in the owners manual. Part of that servicing included adjusting the valves. I tried starting my bike this evening. I find that sometimes pull starting it works when it is cold (it takes quite a few tries). I also find that if I turn my bike off for more than 15 minutes in the cold, I again have problems starting it. I would love to know if anyone has consulted a dealer regarding this problem and recieved a logical answer to why they are hard to start in the cold. Good luck, I'm looking for the same answer.
